Welcome
Welcome to the Public Private Partnership Project Advisory Unit Network (PPP PAUN). This is an initiative by the East African Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA). Here you will be able to get information about activities related to PPP Projects within the East African Region.
Vision
The PPP Project Advisory Unit Network will be a driving force for the participation of the East African private sector in PPP infrastructure projects within the region.
Mission
Our mission is to strengthen the capacity of the private sector in East Africa to participate in PPP infrastructure projects. We will achieve this by:
- Raising awareness amongst private sector operators of the benefits of PPPs;
- Providing practical training and support to businesses, especially SMEs, who wish to participate in PPPs;
- Engaging in constructive dialogue with governments to ensure a genuine partnership between the public and private sectors.
What are PPPs?
Public–private partnership (PPP) describes a government service or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies. These schemes are sometimes referred to as PPP or P3.
